• PC hard disk drive crash: The hard disk is a moving part, and as such will eventually wear out. In this event, your PC would not be able to read or write data from or to the hard disk, thus preventing you from accessing your files.
• Fire or water damage: A house fire or a leaky roof, burst water pipe or even just a coffee spillage might damage your PC to such an extent that the data on it is not recoverable.

This involves taking a copy of your personal data from your PC to a portable hard drive. Your data is then copied to two CD-R disks; one for you to keep for your own reference and the other is kept securely by Islay IT Services in a fire resistant safebox.

In the event of data loss from your PC, Islay IT Services can either repair or replace your PC and then restore the data backup to it, helping you to get back to work as quickly as possible.
